Meet the Team
Todd is a seasoned IT transformation ambassador that is best known for de-mystifying technology. In 2001, Todd and long-time friend Eddie Jurinek co-founded Balance Networks, Inc., a value-added reseller (VAR) and local area network support firm in downtown Chicago.
As business technology evolved from customer premise equipment to hosted solutions, Balance Networks re-branded in 2012 as R2G Cloud Communications and updated its service offerings to include Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS). The company functions as a one-stop shop for the office in the cloud—including voice, video conferencing, email, file sharing and backup, security, mobility, web design and digital media. To complement the cloud offerings, Todd launched R2G Domains – which, in partnership with Arizona-based GoDaddy and Texas-based WP Engine, offers reliable website hosting, email and affordable domain prices.
Todd is a licensed real estate agent in order to further serve R2G clients with respect to land, farm and ranch acquisition. He is a member of Texas REALTORS®, the National Association of Realtors and American Farm + Ranch. Through his broker network and affiliations, Todd has been able to facilitate land acquisition across the United States.
In December 2022, Todd began the pursuit to acquire his Private Pilot Certificate.
R2G Barndominiums is focused on becoming the top barndominium design and build team in the United States.
Matthew Hichens, AIA, Licensed Architect
With 30 years of experience in all aspects of the design and construction process, Matt relishes the opportunities that arise throughout the life of a project. From the first pencil sketch, to walking through the front door, the journey should culminate in a space you excitedly call home. Today, more than ever before, your home is more than just a shelter where you sleep, eat, and unwind. Your home can be a true multi-purpose building with an office, workshop, game room, theater, music studio…or even an airplane hangar. The options are limitless.
On the back end of his career, Matt looks forward to sharing his experiences in design and construction with those trying to navigate their first project. Most of his professional experience has been in commercial architecture in and around Chicago, with a surprisingly diverse portfolio. His projects include schools, universities, churches, libraries, offices, banks, restaurants, warehouses, community centers, service centers, and group living spaces. He’s worked with large corporations, individual tenants, and everything in between.
”“The design and construction process is full of opportunities, but can also have its challenges. I’m hopeful to help you manage expectations and create strategies for a successful project.”
